Vitamin B10 – Para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), also called vitamin H1 or R factor – water-soluble colourless vitamin crystals, structural component of folic acid, microbial vitamin, including lactic acid bacteria. In human body this vitamin is synthesised by microorganisms in large intestine and is used in the synthesis of folic acid – most important anti-anaemic factor.
Benefits: it is involved in the hair pigmentation processes, under the effect of sun ray’s vitamin B10 is exposed to the activity of photo-chemical factors, which synthesise substances stimulating formation of pigment melanin; reduces early greying, stress related greying, positively affects hair growth, can be used for vitiligo (white marks) treatment and skin protection from harmful UV rays.
Deficiency of this vitamin causes pigmentation disorders of skin and hair (early greying), slower growth and disturbance of hormone activity.
